You can schedule regular well visits with any physician you choose. Please let the staff know who you would like to see when you schedule. What about vaccines?
Vaccines play a very important part in the development of your child’s immune system. The providers of Peconic Pediatrics follow the American Academy of Pediatrics vaccine recommendations and feel strongly that vaccinations are a vital part of preventative health care.
What if my child needs a form filled out for school, camp, etc.?
When your child has an annual physical at Peconic Pediatrics, they will be given a New York State health appraisal that is good for one year, and can often be used for school, camp and more. If you are requesting any of these forms other than during your child’s annual physical, the fee ranges from $5 to $20. It will take between 24 and 48 hours for Peconic Pediatrics to complete these forms.

Why am I seeing a resident or medical student?
Teaching and continued education is a life-long endeavor for us at Peconic Pediatrics. If your child is seen by a resident or medical student in the office please note he or she will also always be seen by one of our providers. Residents and medical students are the next generation of doctors and we pride ourselves on playing a role in the future of pediatric care.
While we value this experience, you are never required to see a resident or student.
What waiting room should my child wait in?
If you are in our offices for a well visit, please use the well waiting room. If your child is seeing us for a sick visit, please use the sick waiting room. This helps prevent the spread of germs and keeps everyone healthy in the long run.

All children are welcome to our library. These books are available to read in the office, as well as take home. We kindly request that if you take one, you leave one for another child at your next visit, though it is not required.
We strive to provide the best care possible for your children, which is why we offer Urgent Care walk-in visits with no appointment required. Examples of Urgent Care visits may include respiratory illnesses, breathing difficulty, fevers, and injuries. Health care concerns that are not suitable for Urgent Care may include regular check-ups, vaccines, or long-standing health issues that require more in-depth attention. If your health concern can wait, we ask that you please schedule an appointment during our regular office hours. Please check our Facebook page for any seasonal changes to our office hours. We look forward to helping you!
